Hosted by the Ephraim Historical Foundation, the Francis Hardy Center for the Arts, and the Village of Ephraim!
Help the Village of Ephraim celebrate a special milestone in the history of the village -- the 150th anniversary of the beloved Anderson Dock and
Anderson Store! And, what better way to celebrate than to have a "Dock Party?"
Fun, food, and plenty of Ephraim history will abound at this special event -- a thirteen-piece brass band playing old-time tunes, a picnic supper with a pie and ice-cream social to appease hungry visitors, talks about Ephraim's rich history, and a family Sing-Along to close the evening.
Admission to the event is free; however, there is a small fee for food. A tentative schedule of events for the evening is posted below:
5:00 pm: Dock Party Begins, Anderson Store, Barn, and Hardy Gallery open until 8:30 pm
5:00 pm: "Images of America:Ephraim" book signing at the Anderson Store until 8:00 pm
5:15 pm: Door County artist Charles Peterson gives talk the Anderson Dock and Store's influence on his artwork
5:30 - 7:30 pm: croquet and badminton on the Anderson Barn History Center Lawn
5:35 pm: Ephraim Yacht Club presentation -- "The EYC and the Anderson Dock"
6:00 - 7:30 pm: Entertainment by the Newtonburg Brass Band, a thirteen-piece old-fashioned brass band
6:00 - 8:00 pm: Anderson Family exhibit reception at the Anderson Barn History Center
6:30 pm: Picnic dinner begins, $5.00/$8.00 for adults (dinner only/with dessert), $3.00/$6.00 for children 12 and under (dinner only/with dessert).
7:15 pm: Pie and ice-cream social begins
8:00 pm: Ephraim family Sing-Along begins
Be sure to check out the other fun activities on and around the Dock -- costumed mannequins, old-time movies, plein air painters on the Anderson Dock (courtesy of the Hardy Gallery). Also, be on the lookout for antique cars as well as the Ephraim Fire Department's first fire truck!
