2010 Ephraim Historical Foundation Calendar of Events

Wednesday, May 19: First annual guided walking tour & reception for Ephraim Business Council members.  Walking tour will leave from Anderson Barn, 3:00 pm.  Reception will begin at 5:00 pm in the ARC conference room, for those who have time to visit before our season gets busy!

 

Friday, June 18: Ephraim Village Museums open and Guided Walking Tours begin for the 2010 Season.  Buildings open Tuesday through Saturday, 11:00 am - 4:00 pm through September 4; Walking Tours begin from the Anderson Barn History Center at 10:30 am on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday through Friday, September 4.  

 

Friday, June 18: First special Fyr Bal Walking Tour, departing from Anderson Barn History Center, 10:30 am, fee: $5 per person

 

Friday, June 18: Anderson Barn Museum Exhibit Reception -- "Stitches in Time", Anderson Barn Museum.

4:00 pm - 6:00 pm.

 

Saturday, June 19: Second special Walking Tour in conjunction with Ephraim's Fyr Bal festival.  Walking Tour leaves from the Anderson Barn History Center at 10:30 am.

Fee: $5 per person

 

Sunday, June 20: Sunday Sing-Alongs begin for season, Ephraim Village Hall, 7:30 pm. Free

 

Monday, June 21: Archives open, ARC, 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

 

Tuesday, June 22: New Tram Tours begin, Tuesday - Fridays, departing from Anderson Barn History Center, 10:00 am.  Fees: $12 per adult, $6 per child (6-11), children 5 and under are free.  (Special rates for Foundation Members: $ 6 per adult, $ 3 per child (6-11) and children 5 and under are free

Wednesday, June 23 (1900-1910):  New "Encounter with History" children's program.  11:00 am to 3 pm, starting at Historic Iverson House.  Children between 8-12 will wear period clothing, do chores, play games and learn lessons in a time period between 1900-1910.  Fee: $18.00 per child.  Advanced registration recommended

 

Thursday, June 24: NEW weekly tour of Ephraim's Moravian Church and Historic Iverson House.  1:30 pm to 3:00 pm, starting at the Moravian Church.  Fee: 

$ 5.00 per adults, $ 3.00 per students (6-18), children under 6 free.

 

Sunday, June 27: Sunday Sing-Along, Ephraim Village Hall, 7:30 pm. Free

Child's Play: "Cook-A-Doodle-Do!"  Make strawberry shortcakes too!

Tuesday, July 13: History Speaks, The Goodrich Passenger line & steam ships in Door County & Ephraim.  Presenters: Door County Maritime Museum & Jim Baye, private collector 

 

Thursday, July 15: Child's Play, "Cloudy, With a Chance of Meatballs".  Anderson Barn History Center, 10:30 am

Saturday, August 14: 4th Annual "Free Museum Day" at the Ephraim Village Museums.  All museum buildings open free of charge from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm.

Saturday, September 4: Summer Hours at Ephraim Village Museums end

 

Friday, September 10: Fall Hours at Ephraim Village Museums begin: 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, Fridays and Saturdays through October 9.  Walking tours Fridays and Saturdays, leaving from the Anderson Barn History Center at 10:30 am- starting Friday, October 10 through Saturday, October 9.
