 Tuesday, May 17: "A Cemetery Walk Through Ephraim's Past", Ephraim Moravian Church Cemetery, 9945 S. Norway, 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. (Rain date will be Wed., May 18), free to the public.

 

 

Friday, June 17: Special Fyr Bal Walking Tour, departing from Anderson Barn History Center, 10:30 a.m., fee: $5 per person

 

Wednesday, June 1: Second Annual  Spring Social & Tram Tours for Ephraim Business Council members.  Tram Tours will leave approximately every 30-45 minutes, departing from Anderson Barn at 3:30 pm. Reception will begin at 5:00 pm in the ARC conference room.  We hope to see you!

 

Friday, June 17: Ephraim Village Museums open and Guided Walking Tours begin for the 2011 Season.  Buildings open Tuesday through Saturday, 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. through September 3; Walking Tours begin from the Anderson Barn History Center at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday through Friday, September 2.  

 

Friday, June 17: 2011 Anderson Barn Exhibit Reception -- "The Garments of our Foundation".  Featuring historic renderings of 10 influential women from Ephraim's past.  Created by Karin Kopischke.

4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

 

Saturday, June 18: Historic Walking Tour in conjunction with Ephraim's Fyr Bal festival.  Walking Tour leaves from the Anderson Barn History Center at 10:30 a.m.

Fee: $5 per person

 

Sunday, June 19: Sunday Sing-Alongs begin for the season, Ephraim Village Hall, 7:30 p.m. Free.  Come early!  Seats fill quickly.

 

Monday, June 20: Archives open, ARC, 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

 

Tuesday, June 21: Historic Tram Tours begin, Tuesday - Saturday, departing from Anderson Barn History Center, 11:00 a.m.  Fees: $ 8 per adult, $5 per child (6-11), children 5 and under are free.  (Special rates for Foundation Members: $ 4 per adult,       $ 2.50 per child (6-11) and children 5 and under are free

 

Wednesday, June 22: Encounter with History: (1880s theme: "Making Fun on the Wisconsin Frontier")   11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., starting at Historic Iverson House Museum.  Children between 7-12 will wear period clothing, do chores, play games and learn lessons in a time period of the late 1880s.  Fee: $18.00 per child.  Advanced registration recommended.

 

Thursday, June 23: Weekly tour of Ephraim's Moravian Church and Historic Iverson House Museum.  1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., starting at the Moravian Church.  Fee: $ 5.00 per adults, $ 3.00 per students (6-18), children under 6 free.

 

Sunday, June 26: Sunday Sing-Along, Ephraim Village Hall, 7:30 pm. Free.

 

Thursday, June 30: Weekly tour of Ephraim's Moravian Church and Historic Iverson House Museum.  1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., starting at the Moravian Church.  Fee: $ 5.00 per adults, $ 3.00 per students (6-18), children under 6 are free.

 

Saturday, July 2: Ephraim Village Museums are closed for Independence Day 

 

Sunday, July 3: Sunday Sing-Along, Ephraim Village Hall, 7:30 pm. Free.

 

Tuesday, July 5:  Child's Play: Tales & Crafts:  "Horton Hatches an Egg" by Dr. Suess -painting wooden eggs.

 

Tuesday, July 5: History Speaks - The Sweet Legacy of Four Original Hotels in Ephraim.  Join panelists Lonnie Vitse, Joyce Gerdman, Linda Carey and Liz Wedepohl Wilson as they discuss the favorite food traditions of each hotel, and share samples of a dessert with the audience.

Thursday, July 7: Weekly tour of Ephraim's Moravian Church and Historic Iverson House Museum.  1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., starting at the Moravian Church.  Fee: $ 5.00 per adults, $ 3.00 per students (6-18), children under 6 are free.

 

 Saturday, July 9 - 2011 Annual Summer Social, "Ole!  Pasion del flamenco" for members & invited guests

6 pm at Alexander's Restaurant, Hwy. 42, Fish Creek (our tent will be set up in the lawn next to Alexander's)

Tuesday, July 12: History Speaks, Ulysses S. Grant's presidential papers at Mississippi State University presented by Dr. John F. Marszalek.  Come view Henry S. Vail's civil war exhibit on display. Ephraim Village Hall, 7:30 pm

 

Thursday, July 14: Weekly tour of Ephraim's Moravian Church and Historic Iverson House Museum. 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., starting at the Moravian Church.  Fee: $ 5.00 per adults, $ 3.00 per students  (6-18), children under 6 are free.

 

Saturday, July 16:  Annual Meeting of Ephraim Historical Foundation, Ephraim Village Hall, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Tuesday, July 19: History Speaks - "Stalag Wisconsin: Inside WWII Prisoner of War Camps" - Join author Betty Cowley as she discusses the research she conducted regarding camps in Wisconsin.

Tuesday, July 26: History Speaks - The History of Peninsula Music Festival and the Hardy Gallery - their growth and contribution to the arts.  Presented by: Sharon Grutzmacher and Alicia (CiCi) Mulliken.  Begins at 7:30 pm, Ephraim Village Hall

 

Thursday, July 28: Weekly tour of Ephraim's Moravian Church and Historic Iverson House Museum.  1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., starting at the Moravian Church.  Fee: $ 5.00 per adults, $ 3.00 per students  (6-18), children under 6 are free.

 

Sunday, July 31: Last Sunday Sing-Along for summer season, Ephraim Village Hall, 7:30 p.m.  Free.

 

Tuesday, August 2:  Child's Play: Tales & Crafts:  "Library Lion" by Michelle Knudsen.  Creating a keepsake box with a lion face for the lid.

 

Wednesday, August 3:  Encounter with History (1940s theme:  "The War Years of WWII")   11:00 a.m. to 3 p.m., starting at Historic Iverson House.  Children between 7-12 will wear period clothing, do chores, play games and learn lessons in a time period in the 1940s.  Fee: $18.00 per child.  Advanced registration recommended.

 

Thursday, August 4: Weekly tour of Ephraim's Moravian Church and Historic Iverson House Museum, 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., starting at the Moravian Church.  Fee: $ 5.00 per adults, $ 3.00 per students  (6-18), children under 6 are free.

 

Thursday, August 11: Weekly tour of Ephraim's Moravian Church and Historic Iverson House Museum.  1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., starting at the Moravian Church.  Fee: $ 5.00 per adults, $ 3.00 per students (6-18), children under 6 are free.

 

Saturday, August 13: 5th Annual "Free Museum Day" at the Ephraim Village Museums.  All museum buildings open free of charge from 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

 

Thursday, August 16: Last Child's Play: Tales & Crafts: "Boxes for Katje" by Candace Fleming. Decorating flower pots (including recipe for play dough)

 

 Thursday, August 18: Weekly tour of Ephraim's Moravian Church and Historic Iverson House Museum.  1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., starting at the Moravian Church.  Fee: $ 5.00 per adults, $ 3.00 per students (6-18), children under 6 are free.

Friday, September 9: Fall Hours at Ephraim Village Museums begin: 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays through October 8. 

FALL Walking tours are Fridays and Saturdays, 10:30 a.m., leaving from the Anderson Barn History Center 

starting Friday, Sept 9 - October 8.

 

Saturday, October 8: Ephraim Village Museums close for the season.
