Ephraim Sunday Sing-Alongs are more than just song -- they are a night of good, clean fun.

Sponsored each summer by the Ephraim Historical Foundation, the Sunday Sing-Alongs are a great activity for the entire family.  The historic Ephraim Village Hall comes to life Sunday evenings at 7:30 pm mid-June through July with the sound of old-time songs, sung with gusto by over 250 voices each week!

Over the years, the Sing-Alongs have become a favorite staple of Ephraim summer activity.  The Sing-Along have their origins in the 1930s and continued until interest waned in the 1950s.

Fortunately, the Sing-Alongs were revived by George and Armella Norton in 1995, with sponsorship by the Ephraim Historical Foundation and great support from the Village of Ephraim.  Led by the Nortons, a devoted group of volunteers would set up chairs, haul songbooks, and even make lemonade and cookies every week.  Soon the village hall became the place to be on Sunday evenings, often with standing-room only crowds.

The Sing-Along tradition will continue in 2011 under the direction of Armella Norton and Dave Olson, along with the help of many devoted volunteers and friends, including Niles and Scotty Weborg, Lonnie Vitse and more.  Guest song leaders and pianists bring their own special style to the Sing-Alongs with a story to share, a joke to tell, or something special for the youngsters in the audience.  Make plans to arrive early to the Village Hall for Sing-Along evenings -- seats fill up quickly!

The 2011 Ephraim Sunday Sing-Alongs take place every Sunday evening from June 19 through July 31 at 7:30 pm at the Ephraim Village Hall.
