  • Schoolhouse Lessons

    Schoolhouse Lessons are a perfect activity for younger students! Visitors are transported back into the early 1900s with historically inspired lesson activities focused on geography, arithmetic, reading and more taught at our one-room schoolhouse. This good old-fashioned fun includes recess with historic games and snacks to round out the experience.

  • History Speaks

    History Speaks is a free, all-ages monthly lecture series hosted by the Ephraim Historical Foundation at the Ephraim Village Hall. Held monthly from June through September, these engaging evening programs feature guest speakers and experts who explore a wide range of topics related to Ephraim's rich heritage and broader historical themes.

    Exploring History, One Page at a Time.

    The Ephraim Historical Foundation Book Club invites readers of all backgrounds to join a welcoming community of lifelong learners with a shared love for history, literature, and conversation.

  • Collection Showcase

    Iverson House Open House: Collection Showcase
    Select Days | Historical Iverson House Museum

    Step inside one of Ephraim’s oldest homes for a relaxed morning of history. On select Saturdays this summer, the Ephraim Historical Foundation will showcase unique and rarely seen artifacts from our collection throughout the lower level of the Iverson House Museum. Each date will highlight a different theme, offering fresh insight into Ephraim’s rich heritage.

  • Beginner's Rosemaling Course

    Join us for a two-day rosemaling class taught by award-winning teachers Pam Rucinski and Carol Bender.

    By the end of the course, participants painted their very own 8-inch wooden plate and left class with the knowledge and a detailed supply list to continue this Nordic craft on their own!

  • Pumpkin Walk

    This festive fall event brought families and friends together for an afternoon of Halloween fun throughout the village. Guests enjoyed trick-or-treating at our museum sites, free tram rides between locations, a make-your-own caramel apple station, and a jack-o-lantern contest featuring prizes for the “Most Creative” and “Spookiest” pumpkins.

  • History Happy Hour

    History Happy Hour is a newly launched event series by the Ephraim Historical Foundation, designed to blend engaging historical discussions with a relaxed, social atmosphere. These gatherings offer attendees the opportunity to delve into Ephraim's rich heritage while enjoying refreshments and camaraderie. Whether you're a history enthusiast or simply looking for an enjoyable evening out, History Happy Hour provides an accessible and entertaining way to connect with the past.

  • History Hour at Serenity Springs

    History Hours at Serenity Spring Senior Living

    At Serenity Spring Senior Living, located within Scandia Village, we host History Hours exclusively for residents on the third Thursday of every month from 1:30 to 2:30 PM.

    This special monthly event features rotating themed “Teaching Trunks”—interactive collections filled with artifacts, stories, and activities that bring local history to life. It’s a wonderful opportunity for residents to engage with the past, share memories, and enjoy a meaningful and enriching experience together.

    History Hours is just one of the many ways we create engaging and thoughtful programming for our residents.

  • SPARK! Programs

    SPARK! is a creative engagement program for people with early to mid-stage memory loss and their care partners. Programs are designed to keep participants actively engaged in their communities by providing experiences that stimulate conversations, provide peer support and inspire creativity through creative engagement, workshops and programs. SPARK! programs are FREE for families to attend together in a comfortable environment led by specially trained staff and volunteers.
